Caribbean Cruise

Hi friends. 'm back from a wonderful cruise to Grand Turk, La Romana, Curacao and Aruba. This new Carnival Vista has all that you would want and more. My 8 days in the Caribbean had tremendous weather, sun and heat, lovely heat. The temperatures were in the high 80's and for the first time this ship had soft waves, no gigantic waves. I plan on showing you as much as I can about this wonderful cruise. I wish I was back on the Vista but oh well life is as it is, reality.

                                -----------------------------------------------------------------------
As usual my wife and I were brought to the fairfield Inn by my daughter & son - in - law. The next morning the shuttle took us to the airport. Waiting for our plane we could have  played chess, and I mean playing big chess board.
After having our coffee, maryLou & I waited for our plane to Miami. Soon after we were in the air. Horray we are on our way to cruising.

After arriving in Miami, we got our luggage and went to Carnival's area at the airport, got our materials, got on the bus to Port of Miami getting the ship, Carnival Vista. We were quickly brought to our cabin, 9268.

While we were setting up our home away from home, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and our steward came in to introduce himself and let us know that if there was anything that we wanted, just call him and he would come. This young man's name was Marco.
                                                               Our Steward, Marco

After he left we were called to explained what to do if there were any problems if the ship was sinking. That's what I thought it was about. Later MaryLou & I went to Lido deck to watch as the ship began to move. A party began as our cruise started.

Party Time on the Carnival Vista. Our cruise has begun. Whoopee! dancing, singing & music. Arranging all of this was the young man in yelloe, our Cruise Director, Matt.

My wife and I were in this group of mass humanity and we were excited.  After we walked around, went to have our of first of many dinners in the " Reflections Restaurant " meeting our tablemates. You'll meet them next time. MaryLou & were very exhausted since we were up at 4:30, waiting for the shuttle, dealing with all that stuff at the airport and all the things about the ship. We were tired and finally went to sleep. Tomorrow is a sea day. We are waiting for the next day, Grand Turk. See you next blog day.

  3. Maybe next time you need to take a two week cruise! It's enough work to get there, you might as well take advantage and stay a while.

  6. Maybe you need a part time job on a cruise ship so you can live there. Seriously, that is a beautiful ship. So many people!!! Sun and sea this time of the year has got to be as wonderful as you describe it. I'm so glad you two had a great time.

    1. You know Jean, I would love it but I think that I'm to old but there is an idea that I read about. Instead of going to a old age home, you could stay your entire life and when you die, they just drop you in the sea. Isn't that a great idea my friend?
