ARUBA

Cherry on Top, a wonderful place if you like sweets and I enjoyed sweets. They now have ice cream in this location.

ARUBA

While the captain was docking the Vista, I was taking a shower because I wanted to get breakfast and quickly get to Aruba.

This what I saw out of my balcony

As we entered the building this is what we saw.

 This is Aruba's big casino

Most of the buildings  along the streets are very expensive but as usual there are many outside shops, they are the same thing but the prices can be different. I was looking for a hat and I did find what I was looking for.

Walking along the street is dangerous. many times I almost fell. The streets are like cobblestone but bigger. At least in Aruba, the drivers will stop for you when you ty to cross the streets. There are many cars in Aruba constantly going fast but they do stop.

I took this photo because I've never seen this in a downtown city.

Time to go back to the ship.

Back on board and getting ready for dinner,
All the ports are finished. Two more days on the water and next place will be Miami.

Tomorrow I will be showing you what took place for myself and MaryLou. See you then.

  1. I did a tour there but wasn't too impressed. I mostly love the ship.

    1. Aruba isn't my best port either. I don't know why people think that it's so good. Oh well the weather was fantastic.

  2. The weather looks just about perfect and I would have taken a photo of that beautiful blue horse too. Love to hear the backstory on why it is there. You hear Aruba talked about but I've never seen photos before. Thanks for sharing.

    1. MaryLou & I totally agree with you. weather on this cruise was just amazing, all 8 days, even Miami. I' wondered also what that blue horse was all about. There wasn't even a sign mentioning about it. Oh well.

  3. I love the weather the best. The ship I can do without. Hubby hated the ship. We are just not this kind of cruisers. We love our boat. It's far more fun for us.

I'm so happy you had a great time. Well except for the cobblestone streets.

Have a fabulous day, Paul. ☺

    1. This cruise was the best weather that we ever had, all 8 days. I think that you would like this ship, the Vista.Oh ya, those streets were the worst for walking. Many times I almost fell. I had to grab onto MaryLou many times and I even had my cane.

  4. What a pretty place. The streets in Argentina are pretty unstable as well, but in that country they won't stop for you.

    1. I'm so proud that you were able to visit my blog Sarah. Thank you and yes though Aruba is beautiful, the streets are amazingly rough and unstable.
      See ya.

  5. Perhaps they understand it's not good policy to run over the tourists!
